SGA wins 2020 TIDA New Zealand Architect-Designed Bathroom of the Year
Congratulations Strachan Group Architects. This ingenious approach to an incredibly narrow space has won the 2020 TIDA New Zealand Architect-Designed Bathroom of the Year
Tricky site geology produced a pre-determined 20m x 20m building platform for this 3-bedroom rural family home with expansive views.
The owners wanted an ensuite with a warm Japanese feel, with a shower that took in the immediate rural and distant harbour views.
The ensuite was designed with a restrained 1.4m width, but a generous 8m length.
This works to accentuate the view from the full-height window at the end of the walk-in shower, while the absence of doors or screening make the shower part of the greater space.
Congratulations to Strachan Group Architects – winner of the 2020 TIDA New Zealand Architect-designed Bathroom of the Year.
